What You Will Do
- Assist in providing technical advice and guidance for designated Engineering projects and programs at assigned site.
- Affiliate in the review, investigation and development of appropriate recommendations regarding assigned Engineering projects.
- Participate on small to medium site construction, expansion or modification projects.
- Administer contracts with vendors for the provision of services and equipment.
- Develop working knowledge of local, state and federal regulations appropriate to area of assignment.
- Perform other duties as required.
What You Bring To Freeport
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related Engineering discipline with no experience required.
- Knowledge of the principles and practices of Engineering.
- Able to research and analyze information of considerable difficulty and draw valid conclusions.
- Able to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions.
- Skilled in following safety practices and recognizing hazards.
- Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree or Professional Engineering (PE) Certification.
- Knowledge and experience of power systems engineering including equipment design and specification, installation, testing and commissioning of industrial power systems.
- Knowledge and experience of power systems studies including load flow, short circuit, coordination, and Arc flash study and Mitigation.
- Knowledge and experience in designing process automation system including experience of producing instrumentation and control, P&ID drawings.
- Knowledge and experience with AutoCAD and/or Visio.
- Self-motivated with excellent work ethic.
- Proficient in MS Office.
What We Offer You
- The estimated annual pay range for this role is currently $75,000-$104,000. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors.
- This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance.
