About the role
As an Electrical Engineer I in our Gainesville office, you will help us empower our clients to achieve energy-efficient building solutions, save global environments, and create a better, greener future for all.
Responsibilities
- Perform load calculations
- Determine system sizing and layouts
- Calculate equipment sizes
- Select equipment
- Complete field surveys
- Review equipment shop drawings
- Work with and be mentored by experienced engineers
- Help lead electrical project teams
- Write specifications
- Participate in project meetings with clients and other consultants
- Support construction-phase work
Requirements
- BSEE/BSAE from ABET accredited school
- Non-academic internship
- Leadership involvement in extracurricular activities/student organizations preferred
- EIT certification (Passed the FE exam) a plus
- Internship experience in the MEP consulting engineering field preferred
- Expertise in computer operation for engineering design programs (i.e. Revit MEP, AutoCAD, Navisworks)
- Strong spoken and written communications skills
- Excellent organization and time management skills
- Quick technical comprehension and motivation focused on client outcomes
- Able to effectively prioritize multiple tasks
- Effective working individually and within team environments
Qualifications
- Passing the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam
Skills
