About the role
As an Electrical Engineer I in our Chapel Hill office, you will help us empower our clients to achieve energy-efficient building solutions, save global environments, and create a better, greener future for all.
Responsibilities
- Performing load calculations
- Determining system sizing and layouts
- Calculating equipment sizes
- Selecting equipment
- Completing field surveys
- Reviewing equipment shop drawings
- Working with and being mentored by experienced engineers
- Helping to mentor designers
- Leading electrical project teams
- Writing specifications
- Participating in project meetings with clients and other consultants
- Supporting construction-phase work
Requirements
- BSEE/BSAE from ABET accredited school
- EIT certification (Passed the FE exam) a plus
- Internship experience in the MEP consulting engineering field preferred
Qualifications
- Expertise in at least one discipline area such as fire protection, HVAC, mechanical, plumbing/piping, electrical, technology, instrumentation and controls, process or lighting systems
- Strong spoken and written communications skills
- Excellent organization and time management skills
- Quick technical comprehension and motivation focused on client outcomes
- Able to effectively prioritize multiple tasks
- Effective working individually and within team environments
