About the role
Weiser Engineering, P.C. is seeking an Electrical Engineer for their office in Peachtree Corners, GA. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated individual to join their team.
Responsibilities
- Conducting electrical studies, designs, consulting, and project management for projects focused on heavy industrial, manufacturing, and food processing facilities.
- Preparing or directing the development of design documentation including drawings, calculations, specifications, reports, etc.
- Applying standard engineering design principles and methodologies as well as applicable codes in the preparation of construction documents.
- Maintaining complete and orderly project files and documentation.
- Participating in the Quality Control (QC) process by ensuring drawings are reviewed by a Senior Engineer; making revisions and changes as recommended.
- Performing design reviews as part of the QC process.
- Ensuring that production of drawings, specifications, reports, and analyses meet scope, schedule, cost, and quality requirements.
- Maintaining current knowledge of applicable codes and construction standards.
- Engineering calculations for sizing of electrical services equipment, conductors, and raceways.
- Designing Power Distribution Systems.
- Designing Interior and Exterior Lighting and performing photometric calculations.
- Designing Lighting Systems Control.
- Ensuring Energy Code Compliance via COMcheck.
- Maintaining material specifications.
Requirements
- BS degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited engineering program.
- Certification as an Engineer-In-Training (E.I.T.) and PE tracked.
- 2-4 years of experience in electrical power, and lighting design.
- A professional attitude, strong work ethic, good communication skills, and self-starter.
- Experience in the production of drawings related to building lighting systems, power distribution, and general electrical systems that meet industry and client standards and applicable codes.
- Proficiency with current versions of BIM Modeling Software, Revit and AutoCAD.
- A basic knowledge and general understanding of the National Electrical Code and building codes related to engineering design.
- The ability to work independently or in a team environment effectively.
- The ability to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment.
Qualifications
- The ability to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment.
- Knowledge of SKM Power Suites.
Skills
- Proficiency with current versions of BIM Modeling Software, Revit and AutoCAD.
- Basic knowledge and a general understanding of the National Electrical Code and building codes related to engineering design.

Pay
Salary for this position will be commensurate with the final candidate’s qualifications and experience, including skills, knowledge, relevant education, and certifications.
Schedule
This is a full-time career appointment, exempt (bi-monthly paid) from overtime pay.
Notes
This position is not eligible for a hybrid work schedule.
