About the role
Nova-Tech Engineering is a growing company headquartered in Willmar, MN, founded in 1992. The company specializes in innovative process automation technology, serving over 500 commercial poultry hatcheries in 65 countries. Located on the MinnWest Technology Campus, Nova-Tech houses all aspects of its business, including a manufacturing facility.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and document electrical systems (hardware & firmware) for new and existing products
- Diagnose issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement effective solutions across cross-functional teams
- Support full product lifecycle—from concept and design through testing and customer implementation
- Develop test protocols; analyze data to drive design decisions and performance improvements
- Apply core electrical engineering principles (power systems, embedded programming, instrumentation)
- Utilize CAD tools and embedded programming (Altium, SolidWorks Electrical, C preferred)
- Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to drive innovation and communicate project needs
- Contribute to a strengths-based, team-oriented culture and continuous improvement efforts
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
- 5+ years of experience, required
- Strong experience with CAD tools (Altium, SolidWorks Electrical preferred)
- Proficiency in embedded programming (C preferred) and Microsoft Office
- Solid foundation in electrical engineering principles and data analysis
- Strong problem-solving skills with a collaborative, team-oriented mindset
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Demonstrates professionalism, sound judgment, and integrity
Qualifications

- Valid driver’s license and passport; ability to travel internationally
