Electrical Engineer - Design

Shermco Industries is seeking an Electrical Designer for our Cedar Park, TX office.

About the role

Operating under detailed instructions and review, this position provides essential technical knowledge and performs design work to support the Design Area Lead or Lead. The role contributes to Fluor's competitiveness by delivering quality services of unmatched value and technical competence.

Responsibilities

• Work on design and perform 3D layout of moderate scope
• Prepare 2D Computer Aided Design (CAD) drawings of moderate complexity
• Review drawings and vendor equipment documentation of basic to moderate complexity for compliance with project requirements and actively seek discrepancy resolution
• Perform bulk material take-off analysis and tabulations
• Adhere to industry codes and standards as well as department practices and procedures
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Experience in AutoCAD and SKM
• Electrical Engineering degree
• Legally authorized to work in the United States
• Able to pass a criminal background screen and pre-employment drug screen
• Valid driver’s license
• Power and Controls experience
• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English
• Willing and open to overnight travel for various projects
