Electrical Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an Electrical Engineer with a strong background in electric distribution systems, data analysis, and predictive maintenance to translate Smart Meter data and predictive alerts into actionable insights for field operations and asset management teams.

Responsibilities

• Interpret Smart Meter data and predictive alerts to identify and prioritize transformer defects and overhead/underground electrical line defects.
• Translate analytical results into actionable insights for field operations and asset management teams.
• Work with large datasets (e.g., historical defect data, inspection records, and operational data) to improve model accuracy and reduce false positives.
• Collaborate with field operations, Protection & Control, and engineering teams to validate machine learning-driven predictions.
• Apply investigative skills to analyze distribution network performance and anomalies.

Requirements

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering.
• Familiarity with electric distribution line equipment, protective device settings, electric distribution operations, and distribution power flow analysis.
• Experience with Smart Meter data interpretation and predictive maintenance.
• Knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and substation operations.
