Electrical Engineer

About the Role

As an Electrical Engineer in our Religious & Cultural group, you will be responsible for assigned project designs, coordination, client communications, and associated construction administration, focusing on temples for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. This role offers the opportunity to work on impactful projects that challenge creativity and innovation while expanding your skill set within Haskell’s Design & Consulting Team, which unites architecture, engineering, and consulting professionals across industries and geographies.

Responsibilities

• Work on projects and teams while maintaining design consistency throughout.
• Design interior lighting, exterior lighting, power distribution, grounding, lightning protection, telecommunications, and security.
• Document calculations reflecting design compliance with code and client-specific design requirements.
• Perform quality control reviews of documents including plans, specifications, and design calculations.
• Work with Project Managers to ensure the project schedule is met and complete documents are provided for each submission.
• Review contractor RFIs, shop drawings, and product submittals.
• Provide training and mentorship to early-career team members.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• 5+ years of electrical design experience.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Able to excel in a fast-paced team environment.
• Revit experience preferred.

Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements

• Ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations.
• Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10-50 pounds.
• Good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand, and finger dexterity, including the ability to grasp.
• Visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment, and read application/form information.
• Frequent sitting, reaching with hands and arms, talking, and hearing.
