Electrical Engineer
Space Dynamics Laboratory (SDL) is seeking a Mid-Level Electrical Engineer to work on electronics boards and subsystems for satellites and space-based sensors for our Strategic & Military Space Division. The ideal candidate works well within a team, is proficient at circuit board design, test, and debug, and likes to take their designs from concept through to design, test, and launch. Responsibilities
- Design, test, and debug electronics boards and subsystems for satellites and space-based sensors
- Lead teams in design reviews
- Test and troubleshoot digital and analog systems in a laboratory environment
- Manage multiple priorities and projects
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or graduate degree in electrical or computer engineering
- 5+ years of professional engineering experience with a BS, 3+ years with a MS, or 0+ years with a PhD
- Demonstrable experience with electrical circuit design, analysis, and test
- Proficiency in testing and troubleshooting digital and analog systems
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- U.S. citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance
- Ability to travel occasionally
Desired Qualifications
- Top Secret Clearance
- Experience in high reliability design for space and/or military systems
- Understanding of radiation considerations in electronic design
- Experience as a technical lead
- Experience with high-speed communications interfaces
- Experience automating testing of electronics
- FPGA programming experience
- Embedded systems experience
Pay
Salary range: $90,000 - $160,000. Salary is commensurate with education and relevant experience. This range serves as a general guideline and may vary based on factors such as role, level, location, market conditions, and individual qualifications.
