Electrical Engineer

About the role

The Electrical Engineer position is based in Wendell, NC. Relocation assistance is available. This role is hybrid, offering flexibility between in-office and remote work.

Responsibilities

• Analyze customer requirements to develop detailed electrical designs for medium-voltage switchgear.
• Create complete electrical drawing packages (schematics, wiring, layouts, nameplates, one-lines, and communications) using CAD tools.
• Partner with project engineers to deliver cost-effective, on-time solutions that meet customer expectations.
• Collaborate closely with manufacturing teams to resolve design and production challenges.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 2+ years experience designing or configuring electrical power distribution products.
• Master’s degree in Engineering, preferably with a focus on power systems (preferred).
• Strong knowledge of medium-voltage protection and control systems.
• Ability to interpret customer specifications, one-line diagrams, and electrical schematics.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical or Engineering Base.
• Familiarity with ANSI, IEEE, UL, and NEMA standards for medium-voltage switchgear.
• Experience with Siemens switchgear and/or projects supporting data center, semiconductor, utility, or industrial customers.

Qualifications

Pay

The pay range for this position is $61,547 - $105,509 annually. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
