Responsibilities

  • Design and develop electrical systems for commercial and residential construction projects, including power distribution, low voltage, and lighting systems.
  • Ensure all electrical designs and installations comply with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and other relevant regulations.
  • Use state-of-the-art software tools, including Revit, Autocad, and Bluebeam, for electrical system design and circuit analysis.
  • Review and stamp/seal electrical engineering documents, ensuring they meet all necessary standards and specifications.
  • Collaborate with other engineers, architects, and contractors to ensure the electrical components of construction projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure electrical safety and code compliance.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and other team members.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in electrical engineering and integrate them into operations and activities.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • A Professional Engineer (PE) license or the ability to obtain one.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical engineering in the construction industry, specifically in commercial and residential projects.
  • Proficient in electrical systems design, circuit analysis, power systems, and electrical safety management.
  • Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and other relevant regulations.
  • Proficiency in using software tools such as Revit, Autocad, and Bluebeam.
  • Exceptional skills in reading and interpreting blueprints.
  • Demonstrated experience in stamping/sealing electrical engineering documents.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
