Jacobs has an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Engineer to join our team in Rome, GA, where you’ll use your design and analysis skills to plan and design electrical systems for buildings, facilities, and production process equipment including manufacturing, commercial and institutional projects. This will include designing full electrical systems, including power, lighting, PDU’s, MCC for production process systems. You'll also support installation of production process equipment and maintenance troubleshooting of the systems. You’ll also have the chance to utilize your technical expertise to mentor other professionals, helping your team discover what drives them, nurturing their purpose and guiding them forward as well as interfacing with clients in managing the quality of work.
Responsibilities
- Design and analyze electrical systems for buildings, facilities, and production process equipment including manufacturing, commercial and institutional projects.
- Design full electrical systems, including power, lighting, PDU’s, MCC for production process systems.
- Support installation of production process equipment and maintenance troubleshooting of the systems.
- Mentor other professionals, helping your team discover what drives them, nurturing their purpose and guiding them forward as well as interfacing with clients in managing the quality of work.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
- 5+ years of experience working for a MEP firm
- Revit, 3D AutoCAD or equivalent
- Professional Engineering (PE) license
- Valid Driver’s License with no major infractions
Qualifications
- Experience working on data center, power, VPS systems, generator systems and medium voltage distribution projects preferred
Skills
- Strong design and analysis skills
- Technical expertise in electrical systems

- Experience with project management and client relations

Pay
The base salary range for this position is $85,000.00 to $116,800.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
