Electrical Engineer
About the role
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our Building Engineering Services Group. You will be responsible for coordinating the electrical design team, ensuring compliance with codes, and managing the documentation process for large institutional and industrial projects.
Responsibilities
- Cook up meetings and participate in reviews with various governing agencies for code compliance
- Manage workload to ensure the document is completed on time
- Attend work sessions at the project site with the Project Manager and other disciplines
- Inspect electrical documents for conflicts with other disciplines
- Write and edit electrical specifications and select equipment, systems, and devices
- Collaborate with and assist other disciplines with addendums, RFIs, CPRs, and change orders
- Assist with construction contract administration
- Conduct quality assurance and quality control on the work of other engineers, coordinators, and technicians
Requirements
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical design of buildings (lighting/power/systems)
- Previous experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm
- Experience and/or interest in sustainable design/LEED (not required)
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with an Electrical emphasis
- Professional Engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered
Qualifications
- Strong computer skills using AutoCAD and Microsoft Office, Revit, SKM, AGI, and Easy Power

Pay
The salary range for this position is $80,000 - $120,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
Schedule
This is a full-time position with a standard workweek.
