Electrical Engineer

About the role

Constellation Energy seeks an Electrical Engineer to support reliable, sustainable power generation and distribution. In this role, you will design, analyze, and maintain plant and grid-connected electrical systems, including switchgear, transformers, protection schemes, and control systems. You'll prepare drawings, studies, and technical reports; support commissioning, testing, and root-cause analysis; and partner with operations and project teams to improve reliability and efficiency. Responsibilities

• Design and analyze electrical systems for power generation and distribution assets
• Develop and review single-line diagrams, schematics, and equipment specifications
• Perform power system studies, including load flow, short-circuit, and protection coordination
• Support commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting of electrical equipment and systems
• Ensure compliance with NEC, NESC, IEEE, and company standards
• Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and project teams on reliability and efficiency improvements
• Prepare technical reports, calculations, and documentation for projects and audits
• Provide field engineering support and root-cause analysis for equipment issues
• Contribute to safety, sustainability, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Support planning and execution of capital and maintenance projects within scope, budget, and schedule
