Electrical Engineer

About the role

Architecture is actively seeking an Electrical Engineer with experience in electrical design for projects from concept to completion. This position is located at our Summerville, SC office. The ideal candidate will have experience in the design and layout of interior power distribution, lighting, and lighting control systems for building level electrical systems. The individual will serve as an electrical systems designer working on a wide variety of projects located primarily along the east coast.

Responsibilities

• Design of building interior distribution and lighting.
• Serve as an electrical systems designer on a wide variety of projects.
• Document current conditions during field site visits and attend client design conferences, reviews, and project meetings.
• Work on Federal, GSA, and Department of State design projects.
• Experience with medium voltage distribution design, power generation design, telecommunications design, Revit MEP experience, EasyPower experience, and lighting analysis software.

Requirements

• BS in Electrical Engineering.
• Professional licensure in SC.
• Familiarity with NFPA 70, National Electrical Code.
• Proficient in Word, Excel and other standard MS Office programs.
• Minimum 4 years of electrical engineering design experience.

Preferred

• DoD, GSA, or Dept. of State design experience.
• LEED AP certification.
• Established NCEES record for licensure by comity in other states as needed.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a sound technical foundation and strong verbal and written communication skills.

Skills

• Experience with Federal clients is a plus.
