Responsible Duties

  • Perform operations and maintenance (O&M) duties in support of a military installation.
  • Design and develop electrical distribution systems and building and facility electrical systems.
  • Provide expertise in Fire Detection/Notification/Protection systems.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of electrical engineering concepts, principles, and practices.
  • Familiarity with architectural and other engineering disciplines.
  • Experience with automated data processing concepts and systems capabilities.
  • Ability to plan, conduct, and record site/facilities surveys and inspections.
  • Ability to analyze, interpret, and apply results, rules, regulations, and procedures.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

Skills Desired

  • Knowledge of design and development of electrical distribution systems and/or building and facility electrical systems.
  • Experience with Fire Detection/Notification/Protection.

Benefits

The position offers a salary range of $59,465 - $137,128, depending on experience and level.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $59,465 - $137,128.

Schedule

The schedule for this position is full-time.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Education requirements: A professional engineering degree at the bachelor’s level from an ABET accredited institution.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Security clearance.
  • Must meet the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) requirements applicable to the duties of the position.
  • Up to 24 months to meet the applicable mandatory experience, education, and training requirements.

Skills

  • Knowledge of a broad range of engineering and construction standards, methods, practices, and techniques.
  • Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental requirements.
  • Knowledge of environmental principles, practices, procedures, laws, regulations, and current legislative issues.
  • Knowledge of automated data processing concepts, systems capabilities, and economic usage.
  • Knowledge of program planning and budgeting cycles, financial control and budget systems and management.
  • Knowledge of aesthetic and functional design techniques and skill in preparing project documentation.
  • Ability to plan, conduct, and record site/facilities surveys and inspections.
  • Ability to analyze, interpret, and apply results, rules, regulations, and procedures.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
