Electrical Engineer
About the role
Design and support low-voltage and medium-voltage electrical systems. Specify and integrate components such as circuit breakers, contactors, relays, sensors, voltage regulators, control panels, and wiring harnesses.
Responsibilities
- Develop schematics, wiring diagrams, and single-line diagrams using CAD tools (e.g., AutoCAD).
- Program, test, and troubleshoot controller systems.
- Integrate PLC/SCADA systems and interface with ATS, BMS, and other auxiliary systems.
- Configure system logic, alarms, protections, and remote monitoring capabilities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Manufacturing, Purchasing, Service) to ensure product designs meet performance, cost, and manufacturability targets.
- Provide engineering support for custom configurations.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including product BOMs, wiring diagrams, test plans, and installation guides.
- Ensure products comply with applicable codes and standards (e.g., UL2200, NFPA, CSA).
- Support UL/certification testing and customer inspection processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field preferred.
- 1+ years of engineering experience in power generation, industrial electrical systems, or control systems preferred.
- Experience with electrical design software and tools.
- Ability to read and develop schematics, wiring diagrams, and control logic.
- Programming experience with PLCs, HMI, or SCADA systems.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
Pay
$60,000.00 - $80,000.00/yr. Individual compensation offered within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
