Responsibilities

  • Researches, plans, designs, develops, modifies, and evaluates electronic and electrical systems and components.
  • Utilizes advanced modeling and analysis tools to develop product specifications, models, simulations, technical data packages, and integration and verification procedures.
  • Evaluates vendor capabilities, technologies, services and their ability to deliver required products or services.
  • Provides detailed engineering analysis of components, subsystems, and systems for product application.

Requirements

  • Ability to solve moderately complex technical design and development problems that require a professional level of engineering knowledge.
  • Experience in creating, reading, and comprehending schematics and interconnect drawings.
  • Ability to create and manage interface control documents.
  • Ability to perform circuit simulation (PSpice or LTspice).
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills to convey data, information, and technical results to customers.

Qualifications

  • Familiarity with relevant and commercial design standards.
  • Familiarity with MATLAB, Simulink, PSpice, LabVIEW.
  • Familiarity with computer programming languages, e.g. C, C#, LabWindows/CVI.
  • Familiarity with OrCAD and Visio, circuit board schematic & layout tools.
  • Familiarity with design for components in a high EMI environment.
  • Systems Engineering and manufacturing knowledge.
  • Experience with analog and digital circuit design and analysis.
  • Experience developing technical documentation such as drawings, reports, & technical analysis.
  • Experience with engineering design of wiring harnesses and cable assemblies for systems.
  • Experience with integrating Field Programmable Gate Arrays and development of electronic control logic.
  • Experience with developing and integrating power generation, conversion and storage solutions.
  • Experience in the development and integration of ammunition handling/loading systems including autoloaders and large caliber rammer systems.

Competitive salary commensurate with experience.
