Electrical Distribution Team Lead
About the role
We're looking for an Electrical Distribution Team Lead to join our dynamic Power sector team. This role involves assisting in the operations of the electrical distribution production section, mentoring less experienced staff, and leading marketing efforts.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the responsibility for operations of electrical distribution production section including staff development, profitability, morale, quality control and marketing support
- Function as the Project Manager or the Lead Engineer role for electrical distribution design projects in low or medium voltage distribution design
- Assist in mentoring less experienced staff
- Aid in administrative responsibility for section staff and technical service functions, and lead and coordinate services with other sections
- Be involved in marketing planning, proposals and interviews
- Directly involved with industrial and public clients in marketing, project production and related issues
- Assist in ensuring that all work is planned, organized, controlled and evaluated through proactive project management system
- Implement, monitor and support company policy
- Aid in the selection, training, development and management of technical personnel
- Work cooperatively with National Directors and marketing staff in local and national marketing and production efforts
- Perform other duties as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering. Preferably electrical, but other degrees will be considered along with background and experience
- Professional Engineering (PE) License
- Experience in distribution design, including planning studies, coordination studies, wire sizing, and a general understanding of constructability
- Experience using Synergi Electric and PSCAD system study software
- Experience leading and/or teaching new or less experienced staff about electrical distribution design and planning studies
- Self-driven and motivated individual who can network, generate new work, recruit, and grow a team
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- A minimum of 7 years experience
- Professional registration, license or certification may be required based on role

Pay
The salary range for this position is $80,000 - $120,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
