Electrical Designer II
About the role
Meade is seeking an experienced Electrical Designer II to design and draft electrical engineering construction plans for data centers and other high-profile commercial construction projects. While prior electrical drafting experience is preferred, we also welcome candidates with backgrounds in mechanical, plumbing, structural, or architectural drafting. Responsibilities
- Develop, draft, and publish electrical construction documents for data centers and high-profile commercial projects.
- Perform drafting work under the direction of project managers and engineers, ensuring alignment with project requirements.
- Ensure projects are completed accurately, efficiently, and within established deadlines.
- Create and maintain company-specific AutoCAD standards and technical details.
- Collaborate with project teams to resolve design challenges and improve drafting processes.
- Conduct quality checks to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
- Support project documentation, including design revisions, as-built drawings, and technical submittals.
- Assist in the integration of Revit models and BIM coordination when applicable.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience as an electrical designer/drafter.
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field.
- Ability to work in a team environment with Project Managers, Engineers, and Designers.
- Must thrive in a fast-paced environment, be motivated by deadlines, and possess the ability to multi-task.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office products, especially Excel.
- Revit experience is a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of engineering and construction principles preferred.
Pay
The pay range for this position varies by location and is based on factors such as skills, experience, qualifications, internal equity, and business needs. The estimated pay ranges are as follows:
- Virginia: $76,800–$97,000
- Washington: $80,500–$101,700
This position is available to candidates residing in the following states: AL, AZ, AR, FL, GA, IN, MI, MO, NV, OH, OK, SC, TX, UT, VA, WA, WV.
