Electrical Designer - (Hybrid/Remote)

About the role

The Electrical Designer plays a crucial role in designing the infrastructure that powers various sectors, including commercial buildings, industrial facilities, and agricultural operations. This position involves collaborating closely with Engineers and Project Managers to prepare comprehensive construction documents and assist during the construction support phase.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete construction documents and assist during the construction support phase.
• Layout plans, sections, and details to specified CAD standards and generate 3D models of electrical systems.
• Create online diagrams, power and lighting plans.
• Provide direction and distribute work to Technicians.
• Review and back-check Technician’s work.
• Cover coordinate designs with team members and product vendors.
• Communicate with clients and/or contractors regarding RFI’s and field questions.
• Review shop drawings.
• Develop design skills to support the advancement of technical expertise.
• Attend internal coordination meetings and client coordination meetings.
• May require occasional travel for site observations and field measurements.

Requirements

• Certificate in construction-related design/drafting or at least 3 years of directly related experience in lieu of certificate.
• Basic understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC).

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of electrical power distribution and lighting systems.
• Experience in commercial and industrial projects.
• Proficiency in CAD software.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Pay

Starting Hourly Range: $28.50 - $33.50.
