Electrical Designer

Job Summary Our client is seeking an Electrical Designer with 7+ years of experience in power plant and industrial electrical design. This remote-friendly role leads 3-4 drafters in creating complete electrical construction drawings using programs like AVEVA 3D. Bring your NEC knowledge and CAD expertise to deliver high-quality physical designs, schematics, and field support. location: Omaha, Nebraska job type: Contract salary: $50 - 55 per hour work hours: 8am to 4pm education: High School Responsibilities Supervise and direct a team of 3-4 drafters during the development of project design tasks and construction drawings. Create complete electrical construction drawing sets, physical layouts, and schematics for power stations and industrial facilities using 2D/3D CAD software (including AVEVA 3D). Perform thorough design reviews and quality checks on work produced by junior designers to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to NEC codes and industry standards. Coordinate across engineering disciplines, review manufacturer drawings to resolve physical interferences, and provide technical field support as needed.
