Electrical Designer 3 - Nuclear Power

Responsibilities

• Utilize and expand drafting skills while working in a multi-disciplined team environment with designers and/or engineers to prepare design drawings based on design input.
• Apply computer-aided drafting skills and receive hands-on training in 3D design software environments.
• Create master sketches to scale showing relation of proposed installations to existing facilities with exact specifications and dimensions.
• Accompany and assist experienced designers on walkdowns at client facilities to gather information for design projects.
• Interface with vendors and construction contractors, explaining drawings to enable appropriate design adjustments.

Qualifications

• Do not sponsor employees for work authorization in the U.S. for this position.
• Associate's Degree in a technical area including drafting OR a high school diploma and equivalent technical design experience.
• 5+ years drafting experience using standard computer drafting tools (e.g., MicroStation).
• Ability to visualize parts in 3D without computer aid.
• Knowledge of MicroStation.
• Ability to multi-task from project to project.

Skills (Valued but Not Required)

• Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of technical plans, drawings, and models.
• Knowledge of practical application of engineering science and technology, including ability to relate various equipment to a technical design.

Pay

Compensation range: $68,325 - $104,385 (base salary). Total compensation includes base salary/hourly rate plus comprehensive benefits package; eligibility for yearly discretionary bonus.
