Electrical Designer 3 - Nuclear Power
About the role
This position offers a hybrid work schedule combining both office and remote work locations within the Richmond, Mineral and Surry, Virginia area. The role involves utilizing and expanding drafting skills in a multi-disciplinary team setting, preparing design drawings based on design inputs, and applying computer-aided drafting skills in 3D design software environments.
Responsibilities
- Utilize and expand drafting skills in a multi-disciplinary team setting
- Prepare design drawings based on design inputs
- Apply computer-aided drafting skills in 3D design software environments
- Create master sketches to scale showing relations of proposed installations to existing facilities and exact specifications and dimensions
- Accompany and assist experienced designers on walkdowns at client facilities to gather information for design projects
- Interface with vendors and construction contractors to explain drawings and make appropriate design adjustments
Requirements
- An Associate's Degree in a technical area including drafting or a high school diploma and equivalent technical design experience
- 5 years or more drafting experience using standard computer drafting tools (i.e. MicroStation)
- Knowledge in MicroStation
- Ability to multi-task from project to project
Qualifications

Skills and Experience
- Ability to visualize parts in 3D without the aid of the computer
- Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principals involved in production of technical plans, drawings, and models
- Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology, including the ability to relate various equipment to a technical design

- Compensation Range: $68,325 - $104,385
