Electrical Design Engineer Healthcare - P2S
About the role
P2S is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to support our healthcare studio in our Long Beach or Irvine office. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of engineering design and/or project management experience, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD, and Revit, and experience with low voltage building systems.
Responsibilities
- Lead and support all phases of engineering projects—from proposal development through construction completion.
- Budgeting, scheduling, planning, design, specifications, and working drawings.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to business development efforts.
- Pre-Design Engineering Review existing as-built drawings.
- Perform field investigations.
- Set up drawings and models for multiple disciplines.
- Cook up design schedules and deliverables.
- Conduct feasibility studies.
- Prepare schematic designs.
- Develop single-line diagrams and load schedules.
- Design lighting systems and controls.
- Engineer normal, emergency, and renewable power systems.
- Conduct Arc Flash, Short Circuit, and Coordination Power System Studies.
- Experience with low voltage building systems (Fire Alarm, Security, Voice/Data, Nurse Call) is a plus.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Professional Engineering (PE) License required.
- Engine-In-Training (EIT) Certification preferred.
- LEED Accreditation is a plus.
Qualifications
- Experience Required: 5+ years of engineering design and/or project management experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit.
- Familiarity with: California Building Code, National Electrical Code, HCAI/OSHPD standards (preferred).
- Net Zero Energy/Carbon design (a plus).
- Project management (preferred).

Schedule
This role is hybrid, with 3 days in-office and 2 days remote.
Pay
The salary range for this position is $115,000–$150,000, based on experience. This role is also eligible for an annual performance-based bonus.
