Electrical Design Engineer

Primary duties

• Aid in creating electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Support testing and troubleshooting of electrical components.
• Document test results and maintain engineering records.
• Collaborate with other engineers and technicians on design projects.
• Learns and applies relevant codes and standards (e.g., UL, NEC).
• Participate in design reviews and team meetings.
• Create and revise schematics, wiring diagrams, and BOMs.

Education and Experience Requirements

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Prioritizing: Preferred - Internship or co-op experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Basic understanding of electrical circuits and design principles.
• Familiarity with CAD tools and Microsoft Office.
• Willingness to learn and follow engineering procedures.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Essential Mental and Physical Functions

• Requires attention to detail, willingness to learn, and the ability to follow instructions.

Physical and Mental Requirements

• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
• Manual dexterity for handling tools and components.
• Occasional lifting (up to 25 lbs).

Work Environment

• Works in both office and lab environments with exposure to manufacturing areas.
• Safety protocols must be followed at all times.
