About the role
Amazon Web Services is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join a global engineering team responsible for designing and innovating the company's expanding data center infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Data center electrical designs and collaboration with other disciplines to create a construction document set.
- Create designs meeting or exceeding quality requirements and staying within budgetary constraints.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and municipal requirements and building codes.
- Review and approve equipment submittals.
- Define project scope and provide technical support for information requests before and during construction phases.
- Work with commissioning teams to test, validate, and verify the installation, operation, and performance of electrical systems.
- Manage concurrent projects in multiple geographical regions.
- Travel to sites for site reviews and work with onsite field engineers, providing engineering evaluations, electrical systems audits, and startup assistance as needed.
- Offer creative, out-of-the-box solutions.

Qualifications
- 5+ years of industrial or commercial engineering in mission-critical facilities, including data centers, power generation, or oil and gas facilities.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Experience researching new designs, technologies, and construction methods of data center equipment and facilities.
- United States Citizenship.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional Engineer License.
- Experience with building codes and regulations for your region.
- Experience carrying design concepts through exploration, development, and into deployment or mass production.
- Experience reading, interpreting, and creating construction drawings, specifications, and submittal documents.
Pay
The base salary range for this position is listed below. Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
USA, OH, COLUMBUS - $116,800.00 - $160,000.00 USD annually
USA, TX, Austin - $116,800.00 - $160,000.00 USD annually
USA, VA, Herndon - $116,800.00 - $160,000.00 USD annually
