Electrical Design Engineer

Role Overview: The Electrical Design Contingent Engineer supports projects through electrical design activities, collaborating cross-functionally to ensure solutions meet performance, cost, manufacturing, and timeline goals. This involves hands-on work in design, prototyping, assembly trials, and coordination with internal teams and suppliers. Key Responsibilities Conduct electrical design activities, develop innovative designs using 3D modeling and 2D drawings, considering manufacturability, environmental factors, and cost.Recommend optimized solutions to meet project targets, perform engineering calculations, and apply high-voltage safety standards.Design wire harnesses, perform tolerance analyses, and support assembly and manufacturing trials.Act as a liaison between project management and design teams, ensuring clear communication and accurate documentation (BOMs, pictorials).Support Design for Manufacturing (DFM), review drawings, and track design progress to meet deadlines.Collaborate with project teams, suppliers, QA, and manufacturing, providing technical updates and solutions. Qualifications & Skills Bachelor’s in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.3–5+ years in electrical design, preferably in automotive, aerospace, or high-performance industries.Proficiency in 3D CAD tools (CATIA V5/V6 preferred).Strong understanding of high-voltage systems, wire harness design, and engineering calculations.Knowledge of GD&T, DFM practices, and engineering documentation.Excellent problem-solving, communication, and time management skills, with willingness to travel as needed.
