Electrical Design Engineer

About the role

Electrical Design Contingent Engineer supporting projects through electrical design activities, collaboration, and ensuring solutions meet performance, cost, manufacturing, and timeline goals.

Responsibilities

• Conduct electrical design using 3D modeling and 2D drawings, incorporating modern technologies and industry trends.
• Develop optimized designs, perform engineering calculations, and ensure compliance with high-voltage safety standards.
• Design wire harnesses, perform tolerance analysis, and support assembly and manufacturing trials.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and project management for timely delivery and problem resolution.
• Maintain accurate BOMs, drawings, and documentation; support Design for Manufacturing (DFM) activities.
• Act as a liaison between teams, providing technical updates and ensuring project targets are met.
• Review work and report design issues promptly, supporting continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or related field.
• 3–5+ years in electrical design engineering, preferably in automotive or high-performance industries.

Skills

• Proficiency with CAD tools (CATIA V5/V6 or 3D Experience).
• Strong knowledge of high-voltage systems, wire harness design, and engineering calculations.
• Understanding of GD&T, DFM, and electrical safety standards.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and time-management skills.
• Willingness to travel for supplier visits and testing.
