Electrical Design Engineer

This position supports projects in Waterton, CO and involves the development of sophisticated, state-of-the-art avionics products in a world-class Integrated Product Development environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and capture electrical schematics and guide PCB board layouts.
• Perform electrical Worst Case Analysis and Electrical Parts Stress Analysis.
• Work on a cross-functional team to develop and integrate world-class avionics systems.
• Resolve test anomalies, troubleshoot, and generate, review, and present Product Certification.
• Support system-level testing.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship due to the sensitivity of customer-related information.
• Active Secret Level clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 5+ years of recent and related work experience.
• Experience in digital circuit design at the card/board level schematic and analysis.
• Experience supporting the technical evaluation of design and requirements verification.
• Experience in different phases of the aerospace hardware development cycle.
• Experience interacting with peers, management, and government customers.
• Missile design experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
• Strong team player with a solid work ethic and cultural alignment.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to follow company processes, procedures, and requirements.
• Organized with good time management skills; ability to adjust schedule for peak periods.

Qualifications (Desired)

• Experience with a combination of design, test, operations, and systems engineering disciplines.
• Experience in schematic capture using Xpedition or similar tools.
• Experience with PSPICE, Saber, or other electronics simulation tools.
• Experience performing electronics analysis (Worst Case Analysis, Electrical Parts Stress Analysis, Failure Modes and Effects Critical Analysis).
• Experience performing failure investigations on electronic hardware (CCA, Unit, and System Level).
• Demonstrated strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.

Work Environment

• Generally an office environment, but may involve inside or outside work depending on the task.
• Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods (90% of the time).
• May require lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs (5% of the time).
• Position is located onsite in Waterton, CO; some travel may be required.
• Schedules are subject to change based on position and customer needs.
• Regular attendance in accordance with an established work schedule is critical.

Pay

$142,500/yr. Salary will depend on education and experience.
