Electrical Design and Analysis Engineer 4 (contract)

About the Role

This is a contract assignment for a Digital Electronics Circuit & Unit Hardware Design Engineer (Lead or Senior) role within Boeing Space, Intelligence & Weapons Systems. Candidates selected will be employed as contract workers through a Boeing-approved third party for the duration of the specified project.

You will lead the analysis of customer and system requirements, develop architectural approaches, and create detailed specifications for various electronic products. This role involves designing cutting-edge digital solutions for satellite technology, including digital signal processing, data communication, digital control systems, and embedded systems.

Our El Segundo, CA location offers a unique, collaborative environment with on-site satellite development, co-located electronics teams, and access to world-class engineers and mentors. You’ll work on diverse projects spanning satellites, the ISS, avionics, missiles, and autonomous systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop state-of-the-art digital circuit and unit hardware for aerospace applications.
• Perform electronics design, requirements and interface definition, modeling, analysis, testing, and performance verification.
• Provide technical support for production and testing of electronic products.
• Lead analysis of customer and system requirements to develop architectural approaches and detailed specifications.
• Develop high-level and detailed designs consistent with requirements and specifications.
• Lead reviews of testing and analysis activities to ensure compliance with requirements.
• Identify, track, and status technical performance measures to ensure progress and compliance.
• Support Supplier Management with make/buy recommendations and other technical services.
• Coordinate engineering support throughout the product lifecycle.
• Plan research projects to develop concepts for future product designs.
• Maintain detailed requirements and specifications for electronic products.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
• 5+ years of experience with Digital Electronics, Digital Circuits, or Digital Electronics Hardware.

Preferred Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience with Digital Electronics, Digital Circuits, or Digital Electronics Hardware.
• Experience with Digital, Analog, and Power Electronics.
• Experience with circuit design and analysis.
• Experience with Firmware, Microprocessors, or other hardware.
• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, or a related advanced degree.

Pay

Pay Rate Range: $89–$94 USD hourly.
