Electrical Design & Analysis Engineer 3 (contract)

Position Responsibilities

Development of electrical design criteria from customer test objectives/requirements
Drafting and documenting electrical systems, components, connections, and interfaces
Outlining electrical wiring required to adapt to test articles & subassemblies
Supporting lab or flight test instrumentation and data acquisition
Selecting electrical hardware (cables, connectors, shielding, terminal blocks, etc.)
Installation support and direction to lab test personnel
Electrical hardware support during hardware inspection, check-out, and test execution

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
• 5+ years of experience in electrical and/or electrical system design
• 5+ years of experience creating electrical schematics using computer aided design tools

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering
• 1+ years of experience in test and evaluation
• Experience with a broad range of power, signal, and instrumentation hardware used in test
• Experience with test hardware control and troubleshooting
• Experience with wire shop fabrication capabilities including inspection & check-out
• Familiarity with test software platforms, like NI LabVIEW, and their hardware interfaces
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MentorGraphics, or Microsoft VISIO
