Electrical Controls Engineer

Evaluates control systems

Evaluates control systems, products, components, and applications to ensure optimal performance and reliability.

Assesses emerging technologies

Affirms control system functionality—including safety compliance—by developing and/or executing test procedures.

Validates control systems

• Develops and/or executes test procedures.
• Ensures the accuracy and integrity of process and production data collection systems.

Collaborates with cross-functional teams

• Evaluates components, materials, and suppliers.

Maintains equipment performance

• Performs periodic audits.
• Coordinates repairs.
• Drives preventive maintenance and process improvements.

Supports manufacturing teams

• Responds to inquiries and requests.

Develops project documentation

• Uses established methodologies, tools, and templates.

Supports supplier development

• Ensures on-time delivery of components and services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related engineering field.
• 3+ years of experience in industrial automation or manufacturing controls engineering.
• Hands-on experience with Siemens PLC programming and troubleshooting and Fanuc CNC Controls.
• Familiarity with robotics (Fanuc, ABB, KUKA, etc.).
• Experience with HMI/SCADA systems.
• Knowledge of industrial networks (EtherNet/IP, Profinet, Modbus, etc.).
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings.
