Electrical Control Systems Field Service Technician

About the role

We are looking for an Electrical Control Systems Field Service Technician to support our Altronex brand. This role will work out of our Madison, WI location and requires regular travel throughout Wisconsin and bordering states. Our Altronex brand is a leading provider of control solutions for the municipal water and wastewater industries, providing custom-engineered control panels, SCADA and telemetry systems, control panel fabrication, systems integration, and field services support.

Responsibilities

• Respond to service calls and support the startup, commissioning, troubleshooting, and modification of water and wastewater control systems
• Work directly with contractors, customers, and end users to debug and commission systems, including electrical and mechanical components, programming/software, instrumentation calibration, and system interconnections with other devices or systems
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a strong understanding of our products, project requirements, and schedules

Requirements

• Experience troubleshooting electrical control systems
• Experience reading and interpreting electrical schematics
• Experience working with computers and related software
• Willingness to travel regularly throughout Wisconsin and bordering states
• Valid driver's license
• Two-year technical degree in a related field
• 1–2 years of relevant experience

Schedule

• Monday – Friday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, with occasional evening and weekend call rotation
