Electrical Consultant 1
About the role
Prepares simple and routine plans, designs, and calculations by following standard engineering practices and procedures.
Seeks code references and design direction from mentors.
Performs individual aspects of electrical engineering as it relates to individually assigned projects.
- Power distribution both primary distribution and secondary distribution
- Power generation including standby systems
- Lighting design and control, including both interior and exterior lighting
- Power conditioning and uninterruptible power supplies
- Telecommunications
- Security and surveillance
- Fire alarm
- Nurse call
- Lightning protection
Mets with Clients regarding electrical engineering design and projects.
Performs field work to document existing conditions.
Qualifications and Experience
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering or an Architectural Engineering Degree
- Certifications/Registrations: Passing Fundamentals of Engineering Exam preferred
Other Skills / Abilities:
- Ability to work in Revit/Microsoft Office/Visual Lighting Software
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Excellent customer service capabilities
- Ability to work more than 40 hours per week to meet project deadlines
- Ability to drive to project sites and perform customary field work
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Able to work in the United States
