Job Summary
The Electrical Construction Project Manager oversees all aspects of electrical projects within TEiC, coordinating with internal teams, clients, and subcontractors to deliver projects on time, within budget, and according to quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, and budget
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure resources are allocated effectively
- Oversee project execution, ensuring adherence to quality standards and safety regulations
- Identify potential risks and issues early in the project lifecycle and develop mitigation strategies
- Proactively address project issues to minimize impact on schedule and budget
- Escalate unresolved issues to senior management as needed for resolution
- Prepare and distribute project status reports to stakeholders, highlighting key milestones, risks, and issues
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports
- Archive project documents and deliverables upon project completion for future reference
Customer Focus
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle
- Manage client expectations and address concerns in a timely and professional manner
- Build and maintain strong client relationships to foster repeat business and referrals
Collaboration
- Lead and motivate project team members, including engineers, technicians, and subcontractors
- Cookordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of project goals and objectives
- Provide guidance and support to team members to overcome challenges and achieve project milestones
Financial Management
- Monitor project budgets and expenditures, identifying cost-saving opportunities and mitigating risks
- Ensure accurate and timely invoicing and billing to clients and vendors
- Implement cost control measures to maximize project profitability
Quality Control
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations throughout the project
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to verify adherence to quality requirements
- Implement corrective actions as necessary to maintain project quality standards
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Construction Management, or related field
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in electrical project management, preferably in industrial construction
- Education: Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
- Training: Completion of OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety Training (or equivalent) required prior to hire or within 30 days of onboarding
- Skills: Strong project management skills, excellent organizational and time management skills, exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
