Responsibilities
- Technical Documentation & Communication - Write clear, structured technical documentation such as engineering analysis reports, test procedures, configuration documentation, SOPs, engineering change documentation, and provide technical briefings.
- Field & Operational Support - Take and support field service calls, provide real-time troubleshooting support to field technicians, document incident findings and corrective actions, and participate in after-hours or mission-critical support.
Requirements
- US Citizenship or Permanent Residency required.
- All applicants must have resided in the United States for the past 3 years.
- On-site presence as required by the FAA.
- Foundational knowledge of analog and digital circuit analysis and design.
- Understanding of semiconductor devices, power electronics, and signal processing.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.
- Familiarity with Printed Circuit Board design principles and layout fundamentals.
- Experience with laboratory instrumentation (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, multimeters).
- Understanding of grounding and bonding.
- Basic troubleshooting of electronic assemblies and subsystems.
- Ability to support electrical engineering tasks under senior engineer guidance.
- Ability to pass an FAA background investigation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science from an ABET-accredited program in Computer/Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
Skills
- Programming in Python (2 and 3), C, and C++.
- Good written and spoken communication, including developing technical documentation.
- Working knowledge of Windows, and UNIX and UNIX-like Operating Systems (AIX, Linux).
- Knowledge and understanding of the importance of testing during all phases of the software development process.
- Proficiency with computer operating systems, software, and hardware with proven ability to debug complex systems and to conduct reviews, audits, and testing.
- Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving experience.
- Experience with networking protocols and technologies including TCP, UDP, DHCP, SNMP, and VoIP.
- Experience working in a team environment.
