Responsibilities
- Perform commissioning and start-up of electrical infrastructure and utility systems
- Support commissioning of transformers, protective relays, grounding systems, and medium-voltage distribution systems
- Develop, review, and execute commissioning plans, procedures, and test scripts
- Cookordination commissioning activities with engineers, contractors, utilities, and AHJs
- Conduct inspections, functional testing, and integrated system testing to validate system readiness
- Identify deficiencies, track issues, and verify corrective actions through project closeout
- Ensure compliance with project specifications and applicable codes and standards (NFPA, NEC, IEEE, NETA, OSHA)
- Support system energization, start-up, and turnover activities while maintaining strict safety standards
- Maintain detailed commissioning documentation, reports, and records
- Provide onsite technical support and collaborate with field teams
Requirements
- 3–5 years of commissioning experience, preferably within semiconductor or mission-critical environments
- Strong understanding of electrical systems including transformers, relays, grounding, and power distribution
- Experience executing commissioning procedures and interpreting technical documentation
- Knowledge of applicable electrical codes and standards (NFPA, NEC, IEEE, NETA, OSHA)
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in field environments
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Effective communication and documentation skills
Qualifications
- Journeyman Electrician License or Electrical Engineering Degree strongly preferred
- Relevant industry experience will be strongly considered
Skills
