Electrical Commissioning Engineer
About the role
We are seeking a highly skilled professional to support power generation and energy systems commissioning. Our team values expertise in ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient startup of new electrical systems across active construction projects.
Responsibilities
- Provide engineering support throughout commissioning, startup, and turnover phases for power generation and energy systems.
- Lead and support commissioning activities including testing, verification, and troubleshooting of switchgear, transformers, generators, and associated systems.
- Validate power system studies and ensure compliance with standards prior to energization, including short circuit analysis, coordination, and arc flash assessments.
- Cook up with multidisciplinary teams and vendors to ensure system readiness and resolve issues during commissioning and startup.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (ABET accredited) or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering Technology with a Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in electrical engineering, power systems, or commissioning in power generation, industrial, or related industries.
- Working knowledge of electrical power systems and equipment, including switchgear, transformers, generators, and associated drawings and control systems.
- Experience with commissioning, testing, and startup processes in power generation or industrial settings.
