Electrical Assembly
About the role
As an Assembler at JBT Marel, you will contribute to the transformation of the food industry by building and testing electrical components used in our equipment. Reporting to the Assembly Supervisor of Prepared Foods Division, you will be based at our Kingston Facility.
Responsibilities
- Read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and work instructions to complete electrical assemblies
- Hazard and verify parts, tools, and materials needed for each job
- Assemble, wire, and solder electrical components to specifications
- Perform panel wiring and machine wiring based on documentation
- Test equipment and complete required documentation (test reports, NCRs, etc.)
- Support engineering teams with prototype builds
- Aid in troubleshooting and resolving issues
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Qualifications
- Associate degree in electrical, electro-mechanical technology, or equivalent experience
- Ability to read blueprints and wiring diagrams
- Basic knowledge of electrical theory and test equipment
- Experience using hand tools (crimpers, strippers, drills etc.)
- Basic computer skills
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Good communication skills
Preferred Experience
- 2+ years of experience in electrical assembly or a similar role
- Must be authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship now or in the future
Pay
The estimated annual salary range for this role is $19.00 - 25.00 (hourly).
