About the role
The Electrical Assembler plays a critical role in the hands-on assembly and modification of standard and custom electrical parts, systems, and apparatus used in low and medium voltage power distribution solutions. Working within a skilled production team, this role is responsible for translating engineering drawings, electrical schematics, and wiring diagrams into high-quality, fully functional electrical assemblies built to perform in the most demanding environments.
Responsibilities
- Champion a "Safety First" culture by modeling safe practices and promoting safety awareness across the team.
- Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematic drawings, and assembly documents to guide work assignments.
- Align and assemble electrical components — including leads, coils, wires, tabs, and terminals — into housings with precision.
- Install components such as circuit breakers, disconnects, starters, contactors, switches, transformers, relays, and semiconductors onto chassis, panels, and circuit boards.
- Route, lace, and attach wires and connectors to form circuitry; connect assemblies to power supply sources, switch panels, or junction boxes.
- Inspect parts and completed assemblies for defects; replace defective components and wiring to ensure quality standards are met.
- Fabricate small brackets for use on custom back panels and assemble prototype units as needed.
- Repair defective units rejected by inspection or test personnel to minimize production downtime.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or GED.
- Two or more years of related electrical assembly experience preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematic drawings.

- Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods in an active manufacturing facility.
- Ability to regularly lift and move equipment up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work onsite in a manufacturing environment with exposure to electrical components and moving mechanical parts.
- Exposure to moderate-to-high noise levels and varying temperatures.
Safety Requirements
- PPE & Compliance: Strictly adhere to all site safety protocols and wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times (e.g., safety glasses, hearing protection, steel-toed boots).
