Position Summary
About the Role
Fives North American Combustion, Inc. is seeking a temporary Electrical Assembler to join their team in Cleveland, OH. Responsibilities
- Load and unload previously set-up machines to perform fastening, force fitting, or light metal-cutting operations on the assembly line.
- Repair units that do not meet specifications.
- Operate production line equipment of varying complexities to assemble products, units, machines, equipment, and sub-assemblies.
- Mount and connect auxiliary, mechanical, electrical, electronic, pneumatic, or hydraulic equipment.
- Cut and fit pipe and tubing.
- Drill, tap, or ream holes using drill press or portable drill.
- Align components and bolt, screw, or rivet them together using hand tools or portable powered tools.
- Install moving parts such as shafts, levers, or bearings and test their free movement.
- Bend and install pipe for hydraulic systems.
- Align and mesh gears in gearboxes to assemble systems of gears.
- Operate drill presses, punch presses, or riveting machines to assist in assembly operations.
- Test or assist in testing the operation of completed products.
- Assemble, test, and maintain documents related to products based on requirements.
- Operate machinery such as drill presses and balancing machines.
- Use basic hand, electric, and pneumatic tools.
- Safely operate a tow motor and other electric vehicles.
- Use overhead cranes to lift, move, and manipulate larger parts.
Requirements
- Previous experience in manufacturing or assembly environments.
- Ability to read and understand drawings and assembly instructions.
- Experience using basic hand tools and small machinery.
- Experience using overhead cranes and hoists preferred.
- Mechanical aptitude to diagnose and solve problems that arise during manufacturing processes.
- Experience using a tow motor is preferred.
- A High School Diploma or GED.
- A one-year certificate from college or technical school preferred.

- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Proficiency in reading and understanding technical drawings and assembly instructions.
- Experience operating various types of machinery and tools.

- Knowledge of overhead crane and hoist operations.
- Experience with tow motors.
