Responsibilities
- Pull and route copper and fiber optic cabling
- Aid in structured cabling installations
- Install cable trays, pathways, racks, and support systems
- Support telecommunications closet buildouts
- Learn Cat5e/Cat6 terminations and punch-down techniques
- Assist with rack and stack installations
- Read and follow blueprints and project drawings
- Use hand tools and power tools safely
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Work indoors and outdoors on active construction sites
Qualifications
- 1+ year of experience in construction, cabling, low voltage, electrical, or a related trade
- Experience working with hand tools
- Reliable transportation to the job site
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment
- Ability to pass a drug screen and BGC
- Preferred: Commercial cabling experience, fiber optic experience, Cat5/Cat6 experience, blueprint reading experience, data center or commercial construction experience
