About the Role
The Electrical Service Apprentice / Helper will assist Service Technicians on various electrical projects assigned by the Supervisor or Service Coordinator.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the installation of various electrical systems, both indoor and outdoor.
- Perform duties assigned by the Service Tech or Supervisor in a timely manner.
- Help with installing wiring in residential homes and commercial buildings.
- Follow all safety procedures.
- Use a variety of hand tools, power tools, and ladders.
- Maintain good housekeeping practices throughout the workday.
- Record working hours on a personal smartphone app.
Requirements
- Demonstrate a positive attitude and willingness to learn the trade.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Reliable transportation to and from assigned job sites throughout the greater Orlando area.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English.
- Must be able to pass a full background check, drug test, and DMV check.
- Must be able to work 40 hours a week, including overtime if required.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous electrical experience is preferred but not required.
Physical Requirements
- Physically able to work with heavy tools and equipment at heights.
- Must be able to lift 60 pounds at a time to carry heavy cable.
- Work in confined attic or crawl spaces.
