Electrical Apprentice

About the Role

The Electrical Service Apprentice / Helper will assist Service Technicians on various electrical projects assigned by the Supervisor or Service Coordinator.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the installation of various electrical systems, both indoor and outdoor.
• Perform duties assigned by the Service Tech or Supervisor in a timely manner.
• Help with installing wiring in residential homes and commercial buildings.
• Follow all safety procedures.
• Use a variety of hand tools, power tools, and ladders.
• Maintain good housekeeping practices throughout the workday.
• Record working hours on a personal smartphone app.

Requirements

• Demonstrate a positive attitude and willingness to learn the trade.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Reliable transportation to and from assigned job sites throughout the greater Orlando area.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English.
• Must be able to pass a full background check, drug test, and DMV check.
• Must be able to work 40 hours a week, including overtime if required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous electrical experience is preferred but not required.

Physical Requirements

• Physically able to work with heavy tools and equipment at heights.
• Must be able to lift 60 pounds at a time to carry heavy cable.
• Work in confined attic or crawl spaces.
