Electrical Apprentice
About the Role
Electrical apprentices earn a paycheck while learning the trade through firsthand experience. This position offers a clear career path to becoming an electrician, with potential and opportunity to advance to a managerial role overseeing teams and larger projects.
Responsibilities
- Partner with a licensed journeyman electrician for on-the-job training (OJT) to become an electrician.
- Assist in performing electrical installations for multifamily and commercial projects.
- Learn and perform all scopes of large-scale projects, including distribution, rough-in, trim, and deck work.
- Participate in an official apprenticeship program and attend required classes.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Reliable transportation.
- Successfully register, enroll, and participate in an electrical apprenticeship program (and remain in good standing) until completion.
- Able to physically perform the essential functions of the job.
- Willingness to learn electrical codes and other construction safety requirements.
