Electrical Apprentice

Job Functions

• Help install and repair wiring systems, electrical fixtures, and equipment.
• Installing conduits including bending, cutting and threading up to 4-inch diameter rigid steel to hold electrical wires and cables.
• Replacing conduit, wiring, and circuit breakers as needed.
• Installing conductors, terminating (SES, panel boards, motor controls, PLC’s, instruments, and junction boxes).
• Learn to read and interpret electrical and instrumentation drawings, blueprints, and electrical codes.
• Have good basic understanding of NFPA70E and the NEC.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in an accredited electrical apprenticeship program or willing to enroll once hired.
• PCL will sponsor you in an apprenticeship program.
• Basic Knowledge: Understanding of electrical systems and safety protocols.
• Communication: Good communication skills for effective collaboration and learning.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including rugged terrain and construction sites. Capable of performing tasks such as lifting, standing, and walking for extended periods.

Compensation

Final pay is based on experience and skill level. Compensation: $30 - $34 per hour for Electrical Apprentices.

Schedule

Monday-Friday: 10 hours per day (5/10 schedule).

Per Diem

For eligible travelers, a per diem of $150 per day worked is available. Restrictions apply.
