Electrical Apprentice
Position Overview
As an Apprentice, you will work directly under the supervision of a licensed Journeyperson on commercial, residential, or fire alarm jobs throughout the DMV area, helping to deliver high-quality electrical solutions and services to our clients. You will gain hands-on experience across multiple divisions within our company, complete classroom instruction, and progress toward becoming a licensed Journeyperson Electrician with a company that genuinely invests in your growth.
What You Will Be Doing
- Troubleshooting & Repair: Assist in installing, diagnosing and repairing electrical issues, ensuring all systems and equipment are safe, efficient, and up to code.
- Worksite Assistance: Support the lead electrician or journeyperson by preparing and maintaining work areas, including measuring, cutting, and bending conduit, and performing other tasks needed for installations and repairs.
- Customer Relations: Maintain a positive and professional attitude when interacting with clients. Move materials and tools to and from the service vehicle to the client's home or business with care and cleanliness.
- Worksite Cleanliness: Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe during and after each task. Ensure tools and materials are stored properly at the end of the day.
- Education & Growth: Actively participate in on-the-job learning and formal apprenticeship education to gain the skills required to become a Journeyperson Electrician.
- Team Support: Perform additional tasks as needed to support your assigned lead electrician or journeyperson, customers, and the company.

Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a background check.
- Ability to pass a drug test.
- Proficiency with basic hand tools (e.g., wire strippers, screwdrivers, testers) and the ability to safely operate power tools.
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds, squat, bend, and climb ladders.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Willingness to enroll in and complete a registered electrical apprenticeship program.
Prioritization
- Prior trade school coursework or related field experience.
- OSHA 10 certification.
- Familiarity with NEC fundamentals.
Working Conditions
- Physical demands include lifting heavy materials and tools, working in confined spaces, and working at varying heights.
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions (heat or cold).
- Daily travel to job sites within the assigned service area.
- Standard work hours: 5:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Hours may vary depending on job, customer, or company needs.
Compensation & Benefits
- Compensation: Wage Range: $18.00 – $20.00 per hour, based on skills and experience.
