Already started your electrical career? Join Berkeys Plumbing, A/C & Electrical to build it further. We're seeking an Electrical Apprentice with previous residential electrical experience to join our team.
Responsibilities
- Work directly alongside experienced licensed Electricians
- Continue developing your skills in Residential electrical service, repair, replacement, and installation
- Install and service wiring, conduit, boxes, fixtures, devices, circuits, panels, and service equipment
- Measure, cut, bend, and install conduit
- Pull, route, support, and prepare wire and cable
- Assist with electrical connections, terminations, grounding, and bonding
- Assist with residential remodel wiring and new circuit installation
- Assist with troubleshooting and circuit tracing
- Read electrical plans, wiring diagrams, panel schedules, and manufacturer instructions
- Use electrical hand tools, power tools, ladders, and approved testing equipment safely
- Learn applicable electrical codes and residential installation standards
- Prepare jobsites and protect customers' homes and property
- Maintain tools, materials, equipment, and vehicle inventory
- Complete job documentation, photos, materials records, and other required information
Requirements
- Previous residential electrical apprentice experience
- Hands-on familiarity with electrical tools, materials, wiring, conduit, devices, and residential systems
- Desire to continue learning from experienced Electricians
- Safety-minded attitude
- On-time attendance and readiness to work
- Ability to take direction and coaching well
- Questioning willingness when unsure
- Clean, organized, professional work ethic
- Treatment of customers and their homes with respect
- Commitment to improving technical skills
- Motivation to progress toward Journeyman Electrician licensure
Qualifications
- Current Texas Electrical Apprentice License required
- High school diploma or GED
- Basic knowledge of residential electrical systems, materials, and tools
- Ability to perform the physical requirements of residential electrical work
- Flexibility to support overtime, evenings, weekends, or on-call assignments when required
