Job Summary
GMRE is currently recruiting for an Electrical Aircraft Technician. This position is day shift and may be eligible for per-diem based on GSA.gov standards. Position is contingent based on contract award.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Troubleshoots, inspects, removes, installs, repairs, modifies, overhauls, and operates aircraft electrical systems, components, and associated support equipment.
- Recommends methods to improve equipment performance and maintenance.
- Knowledge is mandatory of electrical, electronic, and mechanical principles relating to electrical systems, concepts, and application of maintenance directives.
- Ability to interpret the meaning of symbols used in wiring diagrams, blueprints, and schematics.
- Must have the ability to properly handle, use, and dispose of hazardous waste and materials.

Education and Experience
- Minimum of five (5) years total electrical experience in Fighter/Attack/Bomber (preferably F-16) aircraft maintenance as an electrician.
- Experience working with aircraft wiring, technicians will be installing Avionics system modifications by routing, terminating 10/100 and Gig Ethernet wiring, copper wires, primary power wires, Coaxial wires , shielded twisted pairs/triplets, and possibly triaxial wires/connectors.
Security Clearance Requirements
- Must have ability to obtain and maintain an active U.S. SECRET clearance and be subject to a government security investigation.
Physical Requirements
- Normal color vision as defined by GMRE, with a passing score of 75% or greater.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.

- Occasional travel - You may be expected to travel for this position for meetings, trainings, and/or site visits.
