Electric Vehicle Incentives Specialist

Applegreen Electric USA is seeking an Electric Vehicle Incentives Specialist to manage and oversee all phases of the company's electric vehicle incentive programs.

About the role

The role involves evaluating, tracking, managing, writing, and submitting all Electric Vehicle (EV) solar or Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) incentive applications. It also includes cultivating and maintaining relationships with external funding agencies and internal Electric Vehicle colleagues, analyzing and reviewing utility plans, state, and federal legislation related to electric vehicle, solar, or BESS funding opportunities, and preparing and maintaining financial budgets related to these programs.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, track, manage, write, and submit all Electric Vehicle (EV) solar or Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) incentive applications in collaboration with Applegreen stakeholders
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with external funding agencies and with internal Electric Vehicle colleagues
• Analyse and review utility plans, state and federal legislation related to electric vehicle, solar or BESS funding opportunities
• Work closely with site acquisition teams to prioritize incentive program development and implementation
• Prepare and maintain financial budgets related to electric vehicle solar or BESS incentive programs
• Submit documentation required for grants or incentive reimbursement
• Prepare executive level briefings
• Manage planning, coordination, and execution of various projects related to EV, Solar or Battery Energy Storage System incentive programs
• Manage daily project management activities ensuring work is delivered in accordance with specification
• Ensure compliance with incentive program requirements and reporting
• Develop and maintain database of incentive programs, incentive proposals and requirements
• Assist in submitting required data on scheduled intervals

Requirements

• Experience with incentive/grant proposal creation and/or submittals preferred
• Two or more years of project management
• Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of applications and database concepts
• Strong project management, negotiation and facilitation skills required
• Strong research skills, with the ability to identify, interpret, and evaluate federal, state, and local incentive programs and funding opportunities
• Keen interest in electric vehicles, solar and/or energy systems
• Ability to communicate effectively to a wide range of individuals including local, state and federal program administrators, consultants, and internal Applegreen Electric USA staff
• Comfort and experience working in high pressure and dynamic work environments
• Individual who is a self-starter, works well developing processes and requires minimal supervision
• Willingness to work in Glen Rock, New Jersey Headquarters of Applegreen
